Rebecca is a dedicated employee at Douglas Equipment, serving our sales department for over 10 years. She recently celebrated an anniversary with us. Afterward, we connected with her to conduct the following interview.

You recently celebrated your 10-year anniversary with us. What is it about Douglas Equipment that convinced you to stay?

Douglas has become family. We all have helped each other through life’s ups and downs. It means the world to me.

How would you describe your work with us?

BUSY! I read all bids that we assign in the bid department (as well as many that we don’t) and then send them over to be assigned. I complete and submit % off contracts, keep registrations current, manage all our website registrations and log-in information, am a notary and help our project managers complete necessary paperwork to complete their bids (when needed).

If you were going to give a new Douglas Equipment employee advice, what would it be?

Work hard. Dedication is noticed and greatly appreciated here.

What are your hopes for the future of the foodservice industry?

I hope that we continue to grow and that the supply issues are rectified as soon as possible. Some of the lead times for products can be mind-blowing. It is sad to have to tell a customer how long they may have to wait.

What kind of advice do you give customers about the current state of the industry, equipment, etc.?

Times change. Everyone is experiencing a difficult time with current supply issue. I believe this too will change in time. Hang in there with us.

Do you think we’ll make it higher than #35 on FES Magazine’s Top 100 Foodservice Equipment and Supplies Dealers next year?

Absolutely! I was here the first year we made the list and plan to help keep us climbing. I have no doubt we will continue to grow and show the world who we are.

What is a positive memory you have of your time with us?

There are too many to list. Hard times have hit us all and my Douglas family was there for me and my children. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for us. We laugh together. We cry together. I love them all immensely.
