As the world adapts to a post quarantine world, where the threat of COVID still lingers and states are quickly reopening, many restaurants have chosen to stick to delivery, curbside pickup and takeout only.

In this blog, we would like to discuss potential menu options for your takeout and delivery operation. You don’t have to just serve pizza to be successful.

1) Grilled sandwiches

Grilled sandwiches travel easily and will maintain a consistent temperature as long as they are in proper carrying equipment. Sandwiches are also extremely versatile and relatively inexpensive to make. They do not require a large staff and are easy to prepare. 2) Hoagies


While slightly different than a grilled sandwich, hoagies still call for many of the same ingredients and are relatively easy and inexpensive to make. For keeping them fresh, warm and ready to be transported, we recommend Cadoc’s proofer and heating cabinets. They will ensure the sandwiches stay at proper serving temperatures in the time it takes for customers to arrive to pick up their meals.

3) Cooked or sautéed meat and vegetables

Thinking of cooked or sautéed meat and vegetables reminds us of all the times we’ve ordered Chinese and Japanese food. Cooked or sautéed meat and vegetables are easily transportable and are most likely already apart of your menu. If so, be assured that as long as your using the right equipment to transport your food, it will retain its temperature, taste and flavor as employees deliver the food to customers.

4) Breakfast foods


Yes! Curbside pickup, delivery, and takeout doesn’t have to be limited to lunch and dinner. Breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, biscuits, cereals, oatmeal, etc. all transport well. While we don’t recommend omelets or boiled eggs, the other breakfast items mentioned will retain their temperature without losing quality of taste or texture. Griddles are perfect for making breakfast menus!

5) Breads and desserts


You can also make baked goods a part of your takeout menu! Rolls, garlic breads, croissants, etc. are easy to transport and bake easily in Cadco’s convection ovens. Desserts such as cookies, cupcakes, and slices or pie are also easy to transport for food delivery operations.

Really any menu item could work with the right equipment, but if you’re looking to limit your menu specifically for curbside, delivery and takeout, these would be our recommendations.
